Tell us about yourself

My name is Victoria, @byvictoriamj on Instagram. I’m a nail tech and salon co‑owner based in South Wales.

I’m also a full-time shopaholic (especially at Glossify!). I specialise in Naturabuild and natural nail enhancements.  

When did you start using Glossify?

I first qualified 3 years ago and bought my first Glossify products in February 2022 with pure excitement to try Naturabuild. This was only the beginning and I have not looked back since!  

I had seen Glossify products becoming more popular within my first 6 months of qualifying, and I just knew that Glossify was the brand most suitable for me and my clients. I always say to my clients how much the whole community, vibe and aesthetic that Glossify promotes is exactly what I love about being a nail technician. It has actually motivated me so much to take pride in my work and perfect it to the best standard for my clients.

What are your Holy grail products?

My kit is full of Glossify products, and of course I have a few holy grails that I could never work without!

Nude Naturabuild

When I tell you all of my clients love this shade I am not kidding. I have clients who have never changed from this shade because they love it so much, and it’s also my personal favourite!

Basic Base

For my clients that have nails on the stronger side, Basic Base is my best friend. The consistency of the product along with its longevity makes it something I couldn’t work without!

Smudge

For those nail art sets that create the iconic ‘croc print’ or ‘blooming flower’ this is my go-to. I will never not reach for this in my kit, my clients are amazed by the look it achieves so quickly and seamlessly. 

Liner Brush

I use this for everything and on every single client. The length and thickness of the bristles are best for going back in to perfect the Naturabuild application, take the gel colour closer to the cuticle, and create that crisp french tip. 

What products are you loving at the moment?

As well as the holy grail products, my clients have been starstruck by the latest Modern Muse collection, as have I. The blend of tones between the reds and purples has created the perfect autumn/winter shades to dominate the season. 

In terms of shades, me and my clients are currently loving Maroon, Bordeaux, Wine, Henna, Hazelnut and Olive. Whether it’s as tips, full colour or nail art, we’re obsessed! 

What more would you like to see from Glossify?

Glossify are currently taking the professional nail industry by storm. I think a lot of nail technicians would agree that their sense of community for all of us is at the heart of their business, and they take pride in sharing our work no matter how big or small our following is. They’ve had very successful community events and I’d love to see more of these in the future! Invitations to masterclasses for the brand would also give an extra personal touch to us smaller nail techs. 

In terms of products, I’d love to see some more green shades in the collection! I love all the current ones but a shade in between Ivy and Earth with the right deepness would be so nice to see.
